Regarding "S-300 controvercy". It's interesting, that the reports on S-300 strikes at Kharkiv (the city) stopped just after the report on the Russian S-300 unit hit with something long-range north of Kharkiv.
Thank you for report! Small note on the energy plans, without links to sources. Medium small gas turbines are mentioned some time ago, so most of those plans are already being implemented. What is new, after the spring, is a mention of simplifying, removing taxation and some other barriers for micro installations and grid connections, including solar panels. And as well, what's new, energy storage facilities, this one is connected to hydros damage. Also a new market rules created for those, i.e. how those onwners of storage facilities would be paid. On a bigger picture Ukraine still has largest share of nuclear electricity in EU. The plan is to grow it to 100% of own consumption in the next 3 years. If I remember correctly 9 new nuclear reactors are to be built. Some on existing facilities, and some to be created in a new places. Though we see.
Look, as I said those are the plans I am reading. As far as I understand most of them would be build by US company on existing plants. There is a difference between new plant and new reactor. As I understand, building of two old (USSR type) reactors is now restarted after many years. Then two new US just started and 2 more going to be started in a different place later this year. However reality may differ.
And just to expand on that, it is not really only a generation that is a problem, but storage as much. That role was for hydro facilities. Now it is a problem. So hopefully those legislatory and market changes would enable this type of innovation.
