Shark Update

Hello everybody!

Just a short one to update you on latest developments in regards of our collection for a Shark UAV for the 3rd SSO.

As of this morning (29 April 2024), the 3rd SSO has received:

PayPal:

-          € 27786,23

-          US$ 323,76 = € 302.08

Bank accounts:

-          € 2548.91

-          US$ 1806.52 = € 1685,62

-          PLN 5368 = € 1243,53

-          UAH 83970 = € 1976.52

Converted to Euros, this means a total of: € 35,542,89

Atop of this, I’ve got some very good additional news:

1.) The last week, the manufacturer offered a Shark UAV (with all support equipment) at a discount of 8.5%, for a total of €44,500, to the 3rd SSO.

2.) Atop of this, the manufacturer offered a special accumulator, which is enabling the UAV to remain airborne for 7.5 hours. This would cost €6,400.

3.) …and I almost dare not mentioning this (because this is all so hard to believe for me…), but: we’re expecting a donation of €10,000 to arrive in the next few days.

Once that donation arrives (please, keep your fingers crossed that the banks don’t mess up), the 3rd SSO is going to have at least € 45,542,89 for this initiative. Obviously, that’s going to be enough for a new Shark, plus a ‘chunk’ of that extra accumulator, too.

As mentioned earlier, ladies and gents of the 3rd SSO are going to take care about securing the remaining funding necessary.

With other words: thank you, everybody! We’ve managed it: it’s just a matter of days and the 3rd SSO can order this Shark, and then (hopefully: soon) receive it too.

Unless it’s so far, here a few stills from a video showing one of 3rd SSO’s latest ops: one of its UAVs has found a Russian Buk launcher (that’s a surface-to-air missile system, known as ‘SA-17 Grizzly’ in the West), somewhere in western Luhansk, and then the same was tracked for a while, before being blown up:

Permit me to add that the ladies and gents of the 3rd SSO are already now very happy, and very grateful for your help - and looking forward to get this Shark and then deploy it for good.

…and that I’m not only extremely proud of my readers or happy with results, but at least as stunned by your preparedness to help - as thankful!

If anybody is eager to support and/or donate more, and that ‘right away’… I’ll check few possible options and let you know in the coming days.

Alternatively, here is one initiative that I think is worth mention:

Appell Russland Ukraine.

This is collecting signatures for a public demand for a swift and decisive action of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany in regards of helping Ukraine (and the well-meant Russians, too).
