Shark Update

Hello again!

As most of you know, two weeks ago, I’ve requested for your help. See: For (the) Shark.

Essentially: I’m trying to help the 3^rd Special Purpose Regiment of the SSU (special forces unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces) to collect enough money to buy itself a new Shark UAV, including the command & control system for the same.

Total price: approx. €/US$ 47,000-51,000.

Time to update you on what’s going on in this regards and how much is left to be done.

As can be seen from this attachment,  

…so far the 3^rd SSO has received:

-          Via PayPal: € 19,272,—

-          To bank accounts: €10.103,— + US$ 511,—

Additionally, they have got from you:

-          PLN: 2,500,— (is something like US$650,—)

-          UAH: equivalent of something like US$1,000,—

Therefore, the 3^rd SSO has got a total of about €32,496.

Related questions:

-          3rd SSO has no accounts in £ Sterling (GBP). Best solution is to use PayPal: they’re auto-converting to US$ or €.

-          Alternatively, if you send money in £ Sterling (GBP), the mass of banks (and PayPal) are auto-converting to UAH, € or US$, depending on what of accounts are you sending to.  

-          Regarding fees: depends on banks. Most seem to charge only about €1,-- per transfer.

-          Regarding crypto-donations: sorry, the 3^rd SSO has no accounts in crypto-currencies.

-          Has your donation arrived? AFAIK, except for 2-3, yes. It has. Otherwise, there would be not as much money on accounts in question. In the 2-3 cases where the banks requested to do the transfer didn’t transfer: sorry, I’m ‘just the messenger’. Without (many more) details - and then from both sides - I can’t say why did the banks act the way they did. Recommendation: try it per PayPal, please. It’s easy to create an account, and works flawlessly.

Now, as originally explained, the 3^rd SSO is quite certain they can get something like a fifth of the required sum. That would be some €/US$9,400-10,000. In such case, we would be about €/US$6,500 short of our aim.

If I’m to ask, and because I know that at least a few of you are still as kind as to be ready to donate a bit more, I would say: lets help them get this rest of 6,500, and, if possible, even more than that. Once again: every cent counts. Don’t be shy if you can’t spare more than that.

Please, be so kind, add as much as you can in the coming days. Let us finish this one: if nothing else, I can ascertain, your help is going to be not only appreciated, but is reaching those where it matters - and, there are going to be ‘few of interesting videos’ to see as result.
