Hello everybody!
With the last update being over a month ago, it’s time to inform you about the progress of our collection for the ZSU. And, I cannot but conclude: I remain stunned at your determination and preparedness to help!
Arguably, through the month of May, Anastasiia went through a period of feeling unwell, and I was distracted by my job and India-Pakistan affairs, but: we were not sitting idle – and, even more so: you never stopped supporting this collection!
…nor, indeed, Eduard Burghard’s collection, or that by Benjamin Cook for the Ukraine Assistance Organization! On the contrary: you made so many things possible, that (sigh) - I feel no ‘thanks’, no ‘special thanks’, nor any other expressions of gratitude might ever be enough…
Now, where should I try to catch with all the developments?
As one can see from Eduard’s FB-account, the UNIMOG you’ve co-sponsored and he’s acquired, and then had completely overhauled, has reached the unit for which it was purchased. Meanwhile, Eduard is collecting for drones and to help pay for yet another car (a Mercedes) bought for the ZSU.
Benjamin’s UAO continued distributing medicine and relief aid to the populations of Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson, regardless of all the risks of working in such areas: as mentioned in the last related update, there is great need, and every pence helps and is most welcome!

Meanwhile, in regards of the ‘Rickshaws’, and in addition to usual packages of medical expendables and other supplies sent to other units:
14th Chervona Kalyna Brigade (National Guard)
Erm… hair-splitters are now going to say, ‘this is no ZSU’ (no Ukrainian Armed Forces). Yes, that’s right: officially, the 14th NG Brigade is subjected to the Ministry of Interior. Operationally, it is ZSU, and fighting like all other brigades, independent regiments, and independent battalions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this war. Point is: they’ve requested help with six first aid kits (for what is included in every such package, please see the Update 21) and we’re not asking what unit is assigned to what branch or ministry in Kyiv. They are all fighting for Ukraine, for all of us, and all deserving our help and support. Correspondingly, Anastasiia is in the process of preparing, packing, and shipping these. A set of tyres for one of their cars, too.
Photos are to follow.

Artillerists of this unit have requested for our help with the acquisition of tools necessary to clean their guns. Essentially: stuff of the kind visible on the illustration below. Said, done. They’ve received everything they’ve asked for, already back in early May.

Gents from this unit have requested the same tools, and then 10 first aid kits. The first five were shipped to them in early May, the rest followed the last week. Gauging by smiling faces, this was of some use.
…and since we were so good in this, they’ve requested help with hydraulic gear necessary to repair their heavier equipment. Anastasiia is currently organising this ‘affair’ and more of related info and photos are to follow.

128th Mountain Assault Brigade
Those following and supporting this collection since its start, know we have specially good relations to this unit. Following some time necessary to figure out what to get, and after a slow start (see Updates 20 and 21), Olga was lucky to find and acquire this Mitsubishi SUV.
Sure, it’s second-hand, and old, but in almost excellent condition: was purchased for €4,000,-- and required no repairs at all! As next, we’ve paid for the sales contract, tolls for highways in Germany and Poland, temporary registration plates and its transhipment to Ukraine (€700,--), plus paid attention to hand it over with at least some fuel in the tank… bottom line: as of the last weekend, it was handed over to Vasily from the 128th:
One important experience from this effort: no matter how hard it is, or might appear, one should never give up. Most importantly: gents are very pleased by the car.
Of course, like in the case of the ‘2,5’ cars we’ve sponsored for the 151st Mech, the last year, we’re going to continue taking care about future maintenance and modifications of this car, too.

Believe it or not, but even after all the acquisitions of this month, we still have US$ 6,147,95 on the primary (PayPal) account. This is why I feel there’s no way to express our gratitude to your preparedness to help!
THANKS TO YOUR DONATIONS, thanks to your trust in us, we remain well-positioned to continue in fashion: we can help so many units with 'minor shipments of expendables’, and we can continue supporting the recovery of badly wounded Andrei.

SPECIAL THANKS FOR YOUR CONTINUOUS SUPPORT!
The paypal account is now 0.76 % higher than it was when u wrote this.
Thanks for the update. I always appreciate them, it feels good knowing the support gets through. Hope Anastasia got better. Continue as you do with picking units, I have too little hair for hairsplitting anyhow.
