Just sent another 50 EUR from me via PayPal. Our would it be better to use the bank account? I saw that the transfer gets converted to USD and then probably another time to Hrywnja possibly losing a bit with each conversion. Which way has least fees?

PayPal exchange rates are also not great. I'm sure direct bank transfer to the euro bank account is more efficient.

I am sure it is, but the simple reason I use PayPal is my personal conveince. I read and pick up my phone, open PayPal and send some money. Anastacia is number one on my favourit list, easy. I will look into the bank thing, but with PayPal I am sure that I manage to donate. With the bank it is more cumbersome. And I am forgetful etc. so instead of doing it now with PayPal I forget it. But come to think of it PayPal is Elin Musk so maybe I need to make that change in routine.

I don't think Musk has any connection to PayPal anymore, does he?

And anyway, I want saying people should not use PayPal at all, just answering the question on what's more efficient.

Not entirely sure but yes, I think it's more efficient via the bank account. Makes things much easier for Anastasiia, since she does not need to transfer money from the PayPal to the bank account all the time (neither she nor me are complaining; is just an advice).

Hi Tom, вітаю Anastasiia!

First goes my deepest Gratitude to YOU both for the Help you organize for Ukrainian Defenders!

I'm damn sure there's a place already reserved for you in a fancy Sarcastic Heaven with blackjack and everything else by taste..! :-)

Second, the IBAN for Euro account starts with GB-... Is it a British bank account which is also available to Anastasiia?

The reason I'm asking - some EU banks waivered SWIFT fees for transfers to Ukraine, and in this case I'm always using "OUR" type of payment there. Saves some 32€ per transfer for both parties.

Hi Ulf,

thanks.

I'll re-check with Anastasiia in the morning.

Have re-checked it, and the ISBN is OK.

'Professional de-formation' is what I sense :-)

Thanks, Tom!

Great to see gas masks going to the front line in numbers. In a riot, Chloropicrin is annoying. In trench warfare, it can make all the difference between life and death.

Thanks for the update. Funny little thing here. Today my local newspaper made a big story about a Norwegian organization supporting Ukraine. They focused on the need for cars. This group collects cars and other useful stuff, drive a caravan from Norway and deliver it in Ukraine. Have done it 40 times or something, the leader that is. But the funny detail was what car was the favouite? The Mitsubishi! (Ha, I knew that allready.)
