Hi everybody!
One of things making not only lots of ZSU-troops ‘happy like little kids’, but both Anastasiia and me - are your continuous donations for our collection: they’re enabling Anastasiia acquiring ever more equipment and promptly shipping this to units requesting help. The last week saw a number of examples for this and thus cannot but start this one with yet more expressions of gratitude: THANKS A LOT!
The week began with Anastasiia reviewing requests by multiple volunteer groups, picking out the most frequently demanded types of equipment, and then starting to order these. First on the list were tourniquets, chemical warmers, and assorted medical supplies for first-aid kits. The latter are becoming ever more important as the winter is approaching and there are still numerous units short on certain stuff. By Sunday, she has acquired:
20 tourniquets,
3 packs of 10 heating pads each (for feet),
3 packs of 10 heating pads each (for hands), and
3 packages of paramedic equipment (incl. sterile water, atropine and different other expendables)
Here a few examples for contents of resulting ‘paramedic aid packages’ she began preparing:
Total price: UAH 16,492,01
Before soon, there was a request for one package containing a combination of all of this - from the 154th Mechanised Brigade.
The 154th has meanwhile received its parcels and its paramedics are sending their thanks:
And because they are so happy to have received the ‘right stuff’, gents from the 154th Mech have already requested another such package, and this will be underway today.
While this was going on, gents from the 72nd Mech have sent us a photo showing their truck arriving with the generator, re-charger, three heaters and other stuff sponsored by you (as reported in the Update 11):
On the same day, the 151st Mech has received its heater, acquired and shipped at around the same time Anastasiia bought the equipment for the 72nd Mech.
Meanwhile, the 23rd Special Forces Battalion requested help with the acquisition of one StarLink terminal, a powerbank and tyres for their SUV. StarLink was underway already as of Sunday - per courier (StarLinks are of incredible importance and there can be no delay when there are such requests). Cost for it was US$620 (UAH 25.664,37). They have already received that parcel and are sending their special thanks and greetings:
The other stuff requested by the 23rd is to be underway today or tomorrow (it simply takes time to get the equipment in question and then re-ship it; details to follow).
‘Finally’ (for the last seven days), the 44th Mechanised Brigade requested help with the acquisition of gas masks. This unit is in the middle of bitter fighting in the Bakhmut area, where the Russians are using lots of chemical weapons. Presently, and thanks to your help, Anastasiia is busy acquiring and shipping gas masks to the 44th - an that in quite some numbers (more details in the next update):
Some might find this all ‘rather banal’ or something of that kind (at least ‘nothing as spectacular as Shark UAVs’ or ‘SUVs’): please mind that all of these ‘little things’ are, literally, saving lives of dozens of ZSU troops. Every day.
Thus, and as must be obvious, YOUR help, your dontations, no matter how big or small, matter and are making difference. They are delivered promptly and to the people who need it. Indeed, please, always keep in mind that your support is an incredible morale-booster: items acquired, shipped, and supplied thanks to your donations are something entire units can see and hold in their hands. For the troops this is clear, indisputable evidence that no matter where they are, no matter what are they going through, they are NOT forgotten, there are people who care about them, are keen to help them, and support them in this so incredibly important war.
Which is why even more is to follow, of course: both Anastasiia and me are determined to continue this ‘project’ as long as you continue supporting it.

I do have to offer my apology for the sloppy accounting of this week: we were so busy organising all of this, that there was not enough time. We’re going to catch as soon as possible.
SPECIAL THANKS FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND CONTINUOUS SUPPORT!
Thanks for the update. Funny little thing here. Today my local newspaper made a big story about a Norwegian organization supporting Ukraine. They focused on the need for cars. This group collects cars and other useful stuff, drive a caravan from Norway and deliver it in Ukraine. Have done it 40 times or something, the leader that is. But the funny detail was what car was the favouite? The Mitsubishi! (Ha, I knew that allready.)
Great to see gas masks going to the front line in numbers. In a riot, Chloropicrin is annoying. In trench warfare, it can make all the difference between life and death.
