I grew up at the times we were communicating with letters and, occasionally, with telephones. Moreover, I do not really 'like' the social media: my private life is my private life, nobody else's business: if anybody wants to 'judge' me - do so by my deeds.
Thus, I neither need more than I already have (indeed: even what I 'have' is frequently 'too much'), and I certainly do not strive to have 'five accounts on five different platforms': indeed, even my Facebook-presence 'came into being' rather by accident than design, and is foremost serving communication purposes.
Yeah, too bad they haven't asked for permission or gave a resource to your account directly. Spreading information, especially adequate analysis of events would be a good thing.
Though it is for sure translated from your article. Not perfect translation but decent-ish.
He gave me permission before I started the channel in March 2022. When people started informing him about it he couldn't understand that it was my channel since my name isn't mentioned anywhere there.
Finally, Tom Cooper who is struggling with 10 Bilohorivka's in each 20km areas of Ukraine learned perfect Ukrainian and started to write like a professor of Ukrainian literature :)))
1) most local population do not know English, so translation of your analytics to Ukrainian is a good thing; 2) looks like a miscommunication between guys from that channel and you; 3) guys from that channel used your name for little hype which is not good.
Could I ask you to try somehow agree with that guys condition of use of your materials and your name, but somehow allow your articles to be translated and published in Ukrainian. Just kindly asking to not judge them as an offence from the start. Thank you
Without Tom's name that tg account will look VERY different :) But in fact I don't care - the more of quality content the better. Glad you both have agreed conditions to continue in both languages. I really appreciate both of you
There is another channel of translation. For 5,800 people, I run it. I wrote in the comments on the medium back at the start when I created it. I hope this format is not a problem, I don't publish ads or plan to, only translation, and I indicate this often
It was through such translations that I became acquainted with your reviews. Then I started looking for the original source :) But the guys honestly pointed out that this is a translation, and not an author's resource at all.
Since Tom corrected this post explaining he allows my channel to exist I'd appreciate if you would remove the report (if possible).
They are frightened of you, Tom
I do not think anybody is 'frightened': the Russian trolls are 'combating' me - on orders from their superiors - already since October 2015, though.
Is a 'standard procedure' thee.
Nice, however, to see the ruble at 89, and the RTS below 1000, at 980.
Eventually, they'll just say that we lured them into attacking Ukraine. As always, a Western Plot.
I do my part, reporting and blocking anything like that.
Why arent you at Twitter?

Why is anyone on Twitter?
This is actually your article translated to Ukrainian...
Could be, but: without permission, yet 'under my name'.
That's fake: that's not me.

I did permit somebody there to re-post in Ukrainian on Telegram (don't even recall who was it), BUT: NOT in 'my name'.
They can create their own accounts, say, post a 'link to Tom Cooper', and that's it. Anything beyond that point is 'too much' for my taste.
Очень много сайтов, которые публикуют ваши статьи. Частями, и даже есть платные сайты. И кстати, там бывают вещи, которые вы и не писали...
А вообще я нашла вас через волонтёра, который публиковал перевод и ссылку на ещё старый ваш сайт.
Yes, I know there are pay-sites re-publishing translations. That's outside my powers, though.
Tom, sorry, but this channel just a translation of your post with several additional sarcastic reactions on some Russian events. :)

I just wrote them with a request to rename the channel in a manner it would be obvious it's just a translation, and got immediate positive answer.
Thx.
Someone's business is already closed before it starts. Hard life. People thought they could steal content and make money. Bad luck.
My channel nevers asks for donations. I'm only spreading Tom's texts.
So, It's you who broke a peace. IMHO at first need to ask Tom's permission to spread his thoughts.

This day came. Yeah
Just to notify you there is @analityka_ukr in telegram, Ukrainian media that translates western authors into Ukrainian language
Hi Tom. As I'm from Ukraine - few little hints:
1) most local population do not know English, so translation of your analytics to Ukrainian is a good thing; 2) looks like a miscommunication between guys from that channel and you; 3) guys from that channel used your name for little hype which is not good.

Yep, did so, few hours ago. There should be a corresponding 'explanation' in the intro to that account.
I used Tom's name because no other person has rights for those texts. I'm not making any money so I don't need hype.
Without Tom's name that tg account will look VERY different :) But in fact I don't care - the more of quality content the better. Glad you both have agreed conditions to continue in both languages. I really appreciate both of you
Tom:
Ukrainian resource nv.ua regularly reposts your pieces in both Ukrainian and Russian: https://nv.ua/opinion/kuper-o-nastuplenie-vsu-na-yuge-analiz-boevyh-deystviy-poslednie-novosti-50335691.html
I assume this is done with your consent?

In 1 word, who will win Ukraine or Russia?
