Uhh, Tom. Don't you understand you're collecting money that fund murder? Like death of actual people? Yikes.

Real Austrians are neutrals.

If that's making things any easier upon your mind: strictly speaking, nope. It's for reconnaissance purposes.

Sorry Tom. I was just trying to be funny by pretending to be a hater.

You had me.

Me either

Donated.

However, if it's called "shark", we would expect it to do some actual killing, like a shark. This is just false advertising.

They cuddle... erm... kuddle the Russians, Jim.

They observe the russians being kuddled)

That's the point. A shark kills, not observes. If it just observes, call it a goddamn seagull or something.

But I digress. Whatever it's called, let them put it to good use.

Pathetic

Since when was self defence murder?

And as for "real Austrians" does the name "Hitler" ring any bells?

Expand full comment

Sounds like a German name. Probably did some foolish things like Germans always do.

Expand full comment

Dude, why should it be the Austrians fault that the Germans elected somebody that was homeless at times here?

How anyone can be ‘neutral’ when Putrid is sanctioning MURDER of innocents. Rape then brutal killings in Bucha, the murder of 200+ civilians in the drama theatre in Mariupol.

Yes you keep sitting on your neutral fence.

Grow some balls

Had me going there for a minute 😜

Oops. Went into my e-banking systems/accounts, and none supports money transfer to Ukraine?

Sorry, got no other details. These are those I know that work (as confirmed already few hundreds of times).

Such operations could be done in internet banking system, not in mobile app.

Anyway, thanks a lot even for your attempts!

Oh well, I sent money via Paypal (didn't catch the account details after the regular banking). I hope that it arrived

There’s a PayPal link at the bottom of the list.

For £ Sterling do we use the American details !?

Sorry, they simply do not have a £ Sterling account. Can you use PayPal? Details on that option at at the bottom.

I paid in Canadian dollars converted to Euros. Very easy with PayPal.

Expand full comment

actually, as far as my experience shows, if you send money to UAH account, it going to be converted without any issue. I did it many times with EUR to UAH accounts. I believe it'd work with pounds just fine.

Expand full comment

I think it doesn't matter, your bank will convert the currency. All the details needed are written there. Try euro. My bank took less than 1 euros fee which I find reasonable for a foreign exchange International transfer. I have also donated last month for the Shark. It is all safe. I am donating regularly for two years now to Ukraine, to various charities, and it was all safe, without any issue and very little bank fees. Maybe my bank has a special policy; I don't know.

For those for whom it’s possible: note that there is a PayPal option on the very bottom. Much easier if available to you.

Done. But if you donate through a western bank there is a huge fee. Better make it via paypall.

So we can just open our PayPal and pay to that email address? There's not many people I would trust to do that but I do trust Tom. Err... This is an article by Tom, right?

Yes, it is.

And yes, it works: have seen statements of account after earlier donations.

I made a contribution and used PayPal. Thank you Tom for bringing this fundraiser to our attention so we can do something tangible to help Ukraine. Thank you also for your insightful posts that cut through the BS and call a spade a spade. Unfortunately the collective West has bungled mightily and our ‘leaders’ have failed to lead. Ukraine will triumph in spite of this bungling but it will not be easy or quick. It will be because ordinary people have together done extraordinary things.
