"15 km west of Svatove, a Ukainian Leopard1 was shelling Russian positions until it was hit and abandoned…" clearly this is the wrong way to use a tank, they are not made to be used as artillery, what a waste of a strategic asset in a tactical blunder!

If the artillery is low on ammo, and its barrels have deteriorated resulting in 70m precision, they use whatever firepower they have.

To me, this isn't the best way to use a Leopard. The Leopard 1A5 is a quickly moving sniper, not designed to run alone in the field.

It seems that it hit a mine and the left track was damaged. I suppose that the crew was rescued?

Thanks for these! Sorry, could someone please tell me who this mysterious Don who does the Don's Weekly is if it's not a secret?

Ukrainian TG channel just posted a report about Leopard 1 being hit and later recovered.

Maybe that's the one in Don's report.
