The financial help to Ukraine feeds the country's budget which funds:
* military (some equipment, fuel and salaries)
* pensions for old and disabled persons (there are no private pensions in Ukraine)
* social services (police, fire and emergency departments, doctors (though many of them rely on the cash people pay them unofficially))
On the other hand, the farmers and small businesses generate income - meaning they pay taxes into the budget, not receive anything from it.
If the help is not provided soon, Ukraine will have to print money - that will cover internal payments for several months (and decrease the future expenses as well for pensions and salaries are fixed in UAH) at the expense of the stability of its market and welfare of the population.
That Slovakian guy must be quite a piece of work (not Trump levels, but still...).
It must be nice to be able to suggest to another state to give their land to Russia. Why aren't they offering their own lands instead?
I am quite irritated by the delays and hesitant steps of western countries to give weapons and ammunition to Ukraine. And seeing Trump holding Ukraine hostage over Mexican immigration (and offering a promise that he'll solve the situation he helped create, if elected) beggars belief. I know that politics is cynical, but that's way too much even for old guys like me.
Good update Don! My unit (3rd Bde/3ID) supported REFORGER 90, too. Eval for a TN (or MS) ARNG Tank Company in and around Ingolstadt along the Danube. The finance officer was super busy paying for the fields ripped up....
I guess the author doesn't understand the economics.
Reagan actually made the US richer and made the USSR collapse.
GDP growth exceeded 7% YoY.
Author judging Reagan's economy failure 30+ years after Reagan is not in the White House.
That is manipulation.
On the contrary, democrats are increasing taxes for rich causing profits and thus investments to shrink.
As a result economy slows down.
It's interesting that author claimed that Republicans state business, free market is more efficient in investment and creating jobs than the government.
But he 'forgot' to give an example to confirm that government was more efficient than business to grow economy.
I suggest looking at the data , in particular GDP growth and taxes on the same timeline.

The west is beyond pathetic and incompetent

"That Slovakian guy must be quite a piece of work" - I guess you made 4 typos in the word which turned out to be "work" here :)
Thank you again and again. Your reports are incredible. Helpful but frustrating.
