Just as a big picture, without full mobilization (targeting age cohorts within 18-24 range) in Ukraine I do not really see how situation van improve the way that Ukraine could get initiative on the Battlefield next year. If that is not the case then actually Trump & Co is right and the peace negotiations are the most beneficial avenue. The Kursk salient and the delayed exit was a mistake not forced on Ukraine by the Russian but was a deliberate choice - which fell short. Az this point all energy should be spared to keep the two dozens of brigades, which are able to operate manoeuver warfare operational and leverage them to mitigate situation after the gall of Toretsk and Chasiv Jar - As that is the main axis of the Russian attack.
Thank you so very much for this very interesting text. Cheers to the request to "spread the word". I am so proud to be one of those who read you since the beginning of the war of destruction against Ukraine.
The information about artillery is interesting. We are finally seeing the evolution that started back when I was a brand new LT. The US Army was trying to "decentralize" the use of FA, and the Paladin M109A6 was supposed to be deployed in single guns (like we did with M270 MLRS) making it harder to counter-fire. But it never quite got there, there was always a reason units didn't try it (harder to control, commo issues, Force Protection, harder to resupply, etc). Now we are seeing it in action because it HAS to happen.
Thanks again Tom and Don, typographic error for the 1200 wounded per day then, but 120 per day would be the easiest way to combat ineffectiveness status for the 810th Naval Inf Bde.
Would there be a Russian Naval Inf association just like the VDV troops association who are serving as "reinforcement" for the VDV units?

Very interesting, particular the high lights from Kriegsforscher.
I sadly am off X now but would be interested to see what Russian units Kriegsforscher rates.
From his post:
I don’t remember the last when I saw such a big concentration of Russian elite forces:
- 76 & 106 VDV divisions;
- 83, 11 & 56 VDV regiments and brigades;
- 810, 155 & 177 marine brigades;
- the best FPV operators.
It tells a lot how «non important» for them it was.
Excellent Don thank you 👍.
