Re Tetkino - Don, you are conflating the March raid by the Russian volunteer troops with the current incursion. Check the date of the Pravda article you have quoted
Excellent work Don. Again, filled in a lot of blanks in my knowledge. Very interesting regards all the stories coming out of the attacks early days. The Kursk operation continues to impress 👍
Russians move most of their supplies by train; if you look at the railway map (OpenRailwayMap) in the area, Ukrainians moves become much more clear... There is one line that leads along the border all the way south to Belgorod - this one leads through Sudzha, which has already been taken by Ukrainians. Rylsk has only a secondary line which leads from a hub in Korenevo, which has almost been taken. The very same hub supplies the area of Glushkovo, so that has been cut off as well. If E38 is reached by Ukrainians or is effectively rendered inoperative, Rylsk might be in precarious position, as it would have only one supply road in the north.
I think that this close position of the Ukr border of the railway in Sudzna can be one of the main reasons to choose this area. It might have huge and lasting effects on Rus logistics in the general directions of NW, N and S of Sudzna, along Ukr border.
Thanks Don, another super overview of a complex and developing situation. As always, I’m grateful for your and Tom’s efforts to find clarity amongst the confusion!
Hi Tom, the last picture is not of the Karizh bridge but of the Glushkovsky 😉 https://x.com/bayraktar_1love/status/1825399530344337651?s=61&t=i7rSm28vUArluoMFLkdZGA
Thx. Corrected.
Thanks Don and Tom!

That's true. Ugh.
Thank you very much.

Good news, the ZSU met the 155th NIB somewhere in Kursk. The justice exists in this world. https://t.me/BaluHub777/14156
Thanks Don. A bravura summary. I felt exhausted just reading it.
Btw, I don't think there will be anyone from the 155th Naval Infantry available for POW exchange.
That would be understandable. There is a debate online regarding revenge and bringing more of their own home.
Take them prisoner, put them on public war crimes trial for the world to see.
Thank you Don very informative report on to the next one
