Hello everybody!
….ah yes… even the administrators of Substack are meanwhile reminding me that I can’t just go on and post whatever I want to post on my blog - without starting with a photo or screen-grab from a video showing Russian POWs in the Kursk Oblast.
Education is important, they say, and so it’s important to help people continue refreshing their skills in counting…

Anyway… this ‘round´’ is inspired by something I find nothing else than ironic. Pay attention, please: because the System Putin has debilitated the Russian military sciences straight into the abyss of Pudding’s wet dreams, his highly competent PRBS-industrialists are now busy explaining that the ZSU has suffered ‘such losses’ in Kursk, that meanwhile it deployed the ‘fresh 95th Mechanised Brigade to attack Kurchatov’…
While, actually, the mass of the 95th is defending Toretsk, and GenStab-U is so much sticking to the Soviet military doctrine that it’s replacing units tired by one week of high-intensity operations by fresh ones – and that since at least 3-4 days. Certainly long enough for the one part of the 95th involved in the Kursk operation to meanwhile return to Ukraine.
….which is also why nowadays hardly one of ZSU brigades (or its elements) inside the Kursk Oblast is the same like one week ago.
Absolutely in-explainable, these pesky Ukrainians… so much so, the Pentagon prompted the Trio Fantasticus into ‘pledging’ delivery of US-made AGM-154 JASSM long-range guided missiles for Ukrainian F-16AMs: one must prevent these Ukrainian sons of guns from installing European-made Storm Shadows or SCALP-EGs on holly US F-16s… and retain control over these crazed Cossacks otherwise they’re ‘really’ going to defeat the Russians…

But, never mind… Most important is that the Ukrainians are withdrawing and their offensive into Kursk was stopped. That’s why a part of the 17th Border Guard Battalion FSB has advanced from the part of Russia west of the Seym River (i.e. between that river and the border to Ukraine), to the Tyazhino area. So it can join the rest of that unit in the major race of swimming across Seym in northern direction. The winner is going to get a new Lada – equipped with latest chips from Bosch washing machines. And coupons for McDonald’s…
…erm, sorry: that’s Nazi-style and anti-holly-Putin. Correct is: Vkusno i tochka.
Elsewhere in the Glushkovsky District, things simply can’t get better. The annual vacation season has begun, and thus the rest of the 17th and whatever of the local population could be kicked out of their homes by the FSB have all decided to join that race across the Seym. Which is unimportant because the heroic VSRF has competently defended all the three bridges across that river from Ukrainian air strikes: shot down all the missiles, rockets, artillery shells and the last fly that moved in that direction…
Now, weirdos like me might come to the idea to assess that this is a perfect recipe for a nice little disaster, and a total collapse of the organised Russian defence of the Glushkovsky. But then, that’s why me (and such like me) are considered for weirdos….
The summer season is in full swing north of Korenovo, too. Especially since the ZSU withdrew into the Korenovsky Malt Works: at least the local population agrees that the company is working much better under its new administration.
UPDATE: ….and due to the popularity of that measure, the ZSU assumed full control over Korenovo, around 18.00hrs local time.
In the hills across the valley, the maestros of the Kaskad UAV unit have been forced out of their nest north of Safonovka. With which the withdrawing ZSU is now controlling one of tallest hills in between of Korenovo and Lgov. What a shame…. But it’s OK, dear Russians: the Ukrainians can still not see the top levels of Moscow’s skyscrapers in the distance - and you can always depend on glorious FSB to prevent them from that.
Further east, the ZSU did some sight-seeing to Durovo Bobrik and A- Ale… sorry but: how many Aleksandrovkas are there in this part of Russia?
One every 20 kilometres…? I see. Thanks for explaining me that. Helps for orientation purposes. I will, however, express similar demand like regarding Bilohorivkas in Ukraine. Really: you can’t simply name every second village the same way. For such lazy Westerners like me, that’s maddening.
The obvious point is, dear reader: there are simply no news to report, the last 24, 36, 48 or so hours… like, the ZSU is withdrawing so hard the Russian 15th Motor-Rifle advanced from the Kozyrevka to Liubostan, and lost contact to its elements in Maly Kamenets and Shchegolek, so that the FSB ordered the 272th Motor-Rifle Regiment to suffer even heavier losses through running another vain attempt to stem the Ukrainian withdrawal – by repeating the earlier failures in counterattacking Martynovka. Which, therefore, is still marked as ‘Russian’ or ‘contested’ by all the honourable Western war-mappers…
Makes me wonder: how many of them are feeling offended because ZSU units in that village wouldn’t post a photo or video showing their positions, so these can be geo-located, and the Russians can’t show photos or videos of ZSU troops there because they would have to admit having lost Martynovka…?
Or is it: ‘c) both of this’?
...the absurdities of online warfare in the 3rd decade of the 21st Century…
…but, people wonder why am I as sarcastic as I am…
Never mind that, either… the delighted and refreshed survivors of the 272th Motor-Rifle then returned - straight into the hands of the Mother Ru… sorry: the 204th Akhmat.
Involved Ukrainians are almost as displeased: the 272nd was not the 155th Naval Infantry, which was their actual target. And, oh dear: the locals are now all speaking Russian. Not Ukrainian. Nor Chinese.
….at least not yet…
War is hell, I tell you…
Thanks Tom. Sounds like the wildschweinjagd is going well on that side of the border. Do you know what the artillery fire intensity is from the ZSU?
Thanks a lot for all of those interesting reports! However, as one of you most faithful readers I feel like maybe you would consider lowering the sarcasm from 500% to about 90% so my brain doesn't have to read everything backwards five times over 😂 It just takes me twice as much time to read you reports... so please ? 😅 Not trying to tell you how to write your reports, just asking for some compation for my poor brain. 😁
