The Ricin Plot
Hello everybody!
Today I’ll start with something that’s ‘hot’ since the last evening… and went like this…
On 19 October 2025, prompted by anonymous persons gluing posters of the terrorist organisation Jaysh-e-Muhammed (JeM) and intimidating members of local security organisations, the Jammu & Kashmir Police (JKP) of India has launched a large-scale operation in Srinagar. Over the following 15 days, it arrested Adeel Ahmad Rather from Anantnag (in Jammu and Kashmir). Based on information Adeel was gracious to provide, the police then went on to nab a terror group consisting of eight or nine people (most sources say eight, but a total number of those named is at least nine, if not ten; where one is the driver of the car that exploded in New Delhi, the last night), including four or five doctors from the medical college in Faridabad. Of the eight arrested, five are from Kashmir.
Arguably, the ‘chaos with names’ in the reporting by the Indian media is nothing new: we’ve seen the same happening after the Pahalgam massacre, in April this year. That said, the arrested can be summarised as follows:
- Dr. Muzamil ‘Shakeel’ Ahmad Ganaie (a.k.a. Mussaib, from the Pulwama area; faculty member at al-Falah University suspected for links to the JeM; he had assault rifles, pistols, 2,500 of ‘bomb making materials’ etc. in his possession);
- Dr. Shaheen Shahid (female doctor at al-Falah University, suspected for links to the JeM; an AK-47 and ammunition were recovered from her car)
- Dr. Adeel Ahmad Rather (from the Kulgam area; was caught in possession of 360kg of RDX explosive and an AK-47 assault rifle);
- Dr. Ahmed Mohiyuddin Sayed (from the Lucknow area; was caught with 4kg of ricin: one of deadliest natural poisons and one for which there is no antidote: it leads to organ failure and death within 36 to 72 hours; the amount was enough to wipe out a city the size of Graz, just for example);
- Zubair Hangargekar (was caught in possession of IED manuals, and was found to have links to al-Qaeda);
- Arif Nisar Dar (a.k.a. Sahir; from Srinagar);
- Yasir-ul-Ashraf (from Srinagar); and
- Maqsood Ahmad Dar (from Srinagar).
Overall, the authorities have seized whopping 360kg of ammonium nitrate and 2,500kg of ‘other bomb making materials’: you know, just your everyday household items like 20 timers with batteries, 24 remote controls, 5kg of heavy metal, walkie-talkie sets, electric wiring, batteries. In comparison, the cache of firearms collected from detained suspects was almost unimpressive: the few AK-47s, a pistol and ammunition would be barely enough for tackling traffic jams in New Delhi…
Then, yesterday evening, a Hyundai i20 car exploded while underway in New Delhi (see the photo at the top), somewhere near the Red Fort, killing eight people, and wounding many more. The blast was caused by a gas container: it occurred during the evening rush, amplifying casualties: the detonation of the gas tank has spread the fire to nearby vehicles in a crowded zone.
Oh, and this: the car was driven by one Dr. Umar Mohammed, a member of the Faridabad group of the JeM.
That’s so surprising, can’t say. Mohammed is now presumed dead. Unsurprisingly, the blast is now considered as ‘terrorist’ by nature: who would have thought that a member of a well-known terrorist organisation can get involved in a terrorist attack? Simply mind-boggling.
But sure: it was an attack undertaken in a big rush, rather than in form of a ‘proper’ car bomb – but still linked to the Ricin Plot and terror cells busted in the last few days. I’m not surprised if that’s considered ‘close enough’ from the Indian point of view.

Oh, why is this worth your attention, you ask?
Let me break it down for you.
1.) Firstly, for India… actually: this is a stance that should be accepted worldwide, but is stubbornly ignored by ‘the West’ in particular – any kind of links to the JeM are equal to terrorism, and then Pakistan-organised and -supported terrorism.
Shocking, I know, but a simple matter of fact because the JeM is organised and supported by Pakistan for some 30 years; because all of its bases are in Pakistan; because it’s leader – an internationally-sought terrorist – is living in Pakistan and guarded by special forces operators of the Pakistan Army’s Special Service Group (SSG); because multiple members of Pakistan’s The Establishment – including top politicians in the country – have declared their political parties ‘front of the JeM’. With other words: these links are indisputable to the degree where Pakistan’s support for the JeM is an official affair. But hey: who am I to judge? Just some ‘Islam-hater’ out there: when it comes to Pakistan, none of glorious zombie idiots from Washington to Nicosia minds a good terrorist organisation with strong government ties..
2.) Here’s the kicker: while the JeM and the Pakistanis are claiming that the JeM is a ‘liberation movement’, actually, the ideology of that group (and several other Pakistan-supported terrorist groups active in India) is distinct from that of original, genuine/authentic Kashmiri militant groups (which emerged back in the 1980s). It’s probably going to be another shock for you, dear readers, but: the Kashmiris wanted a secular state, separated from India. On the contrary, Pakistan-supported groups want an Islamic state – probably because there are not enough Islamic states around the globe – while Pakistan wants Kashmir for itself. Furthermore, members of the JeM consider Kashmiris for (quote), ‘poor and disorganised fighters, lacking faith’.
…at least it’s undeniable that the Pakistanis (and their proxies) are honest in their contempt for the people they claim to be ‘liberating’…
3.) Foremost, earlier this year, after the Pakistan-instigated Pahalgam massacre, the government in New Delhi has declared that henceforth any act of terrorism in India instigated by Pakistan is going to prompt military retaliation.
That was the essence of reasons for India then launching the Operation Sindoor, early on 7 May 2025: punitive strikes on multiple terror bases in Pakistan.
…it was then the Pakistani insistence on ignoring reality (indeed: on living in some sort of parallel universe) – supported by the usual Western ignorance - led to an escalation, resulting in the 88-Hours War, and Pakistan’s defeat.
…which nobody (in Pakistan, nor in the West) ever saw coming - because Pakistan has no history of running the Jihad Import-Export business, or anything. And in the few cases where it was not that, then the Western ignorance knows no other sorts of reactions for this kind of affairs, but to enjoy being willfully blind to the obvious; then wonder about India’s reactions; and then call ‘both sides for restraint’…

Problem: for many of top Indian security analysists, this is all ‘actually’ some sort of US-instigated conspiracy, in which Pakistan is misused by Dumpf and his cronies to destabilise India. Indeed: many there see this entire affair as some sort of ‘Dumpf vs Pudding War’, where Pudding is winning and Dumpf losing (and Zele ‘wants’ the ‘10,000 Ukrainian troops encircled in Pokrovsk’ - all killed). According to such people, that’s that way at least in Ukraine; since the 88-Hours War of this May, also in the case of the India-Pakistan conflict…
…because, obviously, this ‘war’ (the one instigated by Pakistan through the Pahalgam massacre) began only on 24 April 2025; because the man who can’t even spell ‘covfefer’ and the guy who is fighting his 3-days-special military operation for 3,5 years already (but never-ever deploying his strategic bombers to bombard Ukraine) – are correctly assessed as the masterminds capable of orchestrating a conspiracy of this scope, and handling international conflicts with ease, too…
…aaaaand because, obviously, some in India are still frozen in the times the country was a British colony and then a dominion: therefore, India and Pakistan can’t think on their own, can’t have their own conflicts for own reasons, but both are ‘within interest spheres’ of this or that super-power…
…at which point I’m leaning my head back, opening my mouth, and releasing a hearty Muhahahhahahaaha-sound…

After cleaning my desk from the mess I’ve caused while laughing so hard I’ve spilled my cappuccino, I’m trying to regain my consciousness and explain the next point – which is Pakistan.
While both the Indians and quite a few of ‘Westerners’ understand Pakistan as some sort of a teddy - a passive puppet, a proxy at most - one should keep in mind that The Establishment is far from being some ‘fluffy pink bunny manipulated by superpowers’. The Establishment there has its own interests and aims, and is extremely skilled in (mis)using differences between the USA and India – foremost to present itself as ‘the victim of India’s sinister plots’, and then that of militant Hinduism and its cooperation with al-Qaeda, you know…
And it’s not only The Establishment of Pakistan that’s doing that: even the official Beijing has meanwhile assumed a similar position: for some two years, the talking heads there can’t stop complaining how ‘the West abandoned Pakistan’…. (and, correspondingly: the PRC is the ‘saviour’).
…at which point I can’t but lean my head back, open my mouth, and release yet another, hearty Muhahahhahahaaha-sound…

While cleaning spilled cappuccino from my desk for the second time in as many minutes (fortunately: this time the mug was almost empty), cannot but wonder: what’s better for Beijing but playing New Delhi against both Washington and the EU…?
Nevermind: why should anybody care…?
Still, the bottom line is something like this: provided the word of the government of Prime Minister Modi is worth more than 15 paisa, and considering that all the currently available information is indicative that the blast in New Delhi that killed eight (and wounded many others), yesterday in the evening, was yet another Pakistan-instigated act of terror in India - the situation is near-certain to result in yet another war between the two countries.

Thanks for the information. Something we should really know here. And it was good to see your sarcasm again, after the section I quoted there were a few more.
The US used to have a huge advantage over China; they were China's biggest customer. China was not going to start a war with the country that was buying most of their manufacturing output. When you look at it that way, you can see the political advantage.
Trump has completely obliterated that advantage. China, in a 4D chess move, ignored the tariffs and opened their markets to other customers. I don't know what the real numbers are, but it's easy to see in the boldness of their political moves recently that they don't care what the US does.
This is damage that the US may never overcome.
