Amazing number of facts and amazing example of why democracies are so hard. I would love to read examples of success (allies, deals) for democracies.

"deliveries of which began in mid-1990. With the USA and its allies preoccupied with Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait, this deal went nearly unnoticed, and all the aircraft arrived in Iran between 1990 and 1992."

These military sales deals are always very convoluted.

I remember how long it took for my country to finally start upgrading its fighter jet fleet (squadron).

It was a 10 or 15 year long saga involving Ukraine, Yemen, Israel, US, France...

Tom...I bring you a theory if you may....more of a conundrum. It is pretty clear that the US will retaliate soon on Iran/IRGC/& Uncle Khomeini's third illegitimate left toe bunion.

So what happened when we hit the wrong Faction of the Iranian Government???

If we attack the assets of a Power Cliche that has nothing to do with the IRGC and the QUD chewing zealots???

For that matter.....what if....just what IF someone in....errr...say WashingBUTT D.C. actually had more brain than stank making cells and used that brain to decide that the U.S. needs to strike at the assets of the people who are actually making decisions for and around the IRGC....more particularly the QUD'puckers???

Somehow....just somehow I might have possible come up with a truly valid question in the addled contraptution I call a brai'''''''''STITUTE!!!!!!

Amazing report, as always, Tom!

Where could I found more about Iran's and IRGC's structure? Any books, or other resources that can be trusted or that you recommend? Thank you!

Did you mean 1989?
