Amid ‘news of the day’, no better title came to my mind…
After almost bursting in tears over Israel’s ‘fears’ and ‘security concerns’ in front of TV-cameras, Netanyahu complained about ‘Syrian violation of the (May) 1974 agreement’, and then ordered the Israeli Defence Force into Syria.
They have seized the entire Jabal Sheikh (a.k.a. Mount Hermon), including the Syrian observation post. Additionally, the Israelis occupied the UNDOF-zone (marked white on the map below), Tel al-Harra (western Dera’a) and, possibly, also seized the town of Khan Arnabeh (which is outside that zone).
With other words: that was yet another Zionist land grab.
Simultaneously, the IASF flew ‘dozens’ of air strikes on Syria. The claimed focus was (quote from different of official releases), ‘destruction of strategic weapons’ that ‘could fall into the hands of elements hostile to Israel’, ‘weapons production sites’ and ‘air defence sites’.
The first wave hit weapons depots at the Khelekhlek AB (NW Suwayda), several sites in the Dera’a Province, and the al-Mezzeh AB, in western Damascus.
The second wave then hit the al-Mezzeh AB again (as visible above), a ‘security complex’ in Kfar Sousa, a ‘branch’ of the Scientific Studies and Research Centre in Damascus, and - pay attention - ‘intelligence and customs headquarters’ in the centre of Damascus.
…which, from my point of view, is revealing the actual target of this idiocy: destruction of Assadist intelligence centres, to prevent these from falling into the hands of any new government in Syria.
Why that?
Because the Assadist regime had some 15-20 intelligence services, and these had extensive files about de-facto every single Syrian citizen, and every foreigner ever visiting the country. Whatever intelligence services are now going to be established in Syria, they’ll have to start from the scratch, without a clue what did the Assadist (and the Israelis) know about what Syrians and/(or foreigners.
With other words: when Israeli warmongers have no other war to fight, and the ongoing genocide on Palestinians in not enough, then how about creating new enemies and starting a new war?
(At least it’s certain that now the Syrians are going to remain (very) hostile to Israel…Indeed, one cannot but congratulate Bibi: Hamas is still intact to at least 65% and fighting like hell; Hezbollah is now in the process of being completely assimilated by the IRGC, and all are meanwhile commanded by younger, smarter, and more extreme characters than ever before.
Really, a 'major victory' - for Zionist warmongers. Combined with this outrage in Syria today, now they can be sure there's going to be no end of this war for another 50 years.)

Meanwhile, the other thug has re-appeared (too), but not in the UAE, as widely guessed: Bashar al-Assad was, apparently, flown out of Syria on board of one of Russian transport aircraft, and this still from a video should have been taken on his arrival in Rostov-na-Donu, together with his wife Azma:
…where it turned out the video-still in question was actually taken in Syria, during one of Azma’s hospital-visits (she survived cancer).
That much for ‘Russian reliability’… though, considering the general incompetence of the Assadist regime, wouldn’t be surprised if he was flown out by the SyAAF Il-76 transport everybody guessed was ‘shot down’ south of Homs, but actually landed at the Shayrat AB.
Anyway… Reportedly, Assad was meanwhile forwarded to Moscow.
Amid lots of complaints in the Russian social media about Moscow forgetting dozens - if not hundreds - of GRU and VSRF troops in Syria, latest media releases from Moscow are indicating some sort of an agreement with the CMO for the Russia to retain its bases in the country.
Whatever is truth… well, we’ve got to wait and see.
The title hits the nail on the head.
If they really seized Khan Arnabeh, which is just a few hundred meters underneath Camp Faouar (the main UN camp on the Syrian side, the other one on the Israelian side is camp Ziouani) then they not only broke the armistice, but also broke the mandate of the UN mission and are blocking the work of the mission as the logistics for the mission are situated at camp Faouar
Once a warmonger, always a warmonger. That scoundrel will finally be the gravedigger of Israel.
If the UN doesn't react to it the world can start to dissolve the UN, because then it is absolutely useless and just a waste of money.
Addition:
So the Israelian side want to act as stand up comedians? The wording ‘destruction of strategic weapons’ that ‘could fall into the hands of elements hostile to Israel’ would imply that the Assad regime wasn't hostile to Israel.
Thanks for the update. Russia may of course lie regarding a deal with CMO. But what would CMO get out of the deal? They are probably busy taking control a lot of places and unlikely to be able to do anything about Russian bases now. But then again, if the collapse is complete maybe not. CMO might get of course be willing to make a deal, but it has to have something for them. Unsure what. The head of Assad on a platter might do it, but… Otherwise I guess at a minimum Russia would have to bomb somebody else than CMO. Or defend against Israeli airforce. But if there is a deal it will be interesting. (As a curse probably.)
