Ladies and gentlemen,
you’re awesome! Really: awesome!
….while I’m a day late with this update. Sorry for that!
Part of the reason is that although I have received the latest figures as of yesterday evening, I simply couldn’t believe them. I had to re-check, re-read and re-calculate everything again and again, because I couldn’t believe my eyes what happened the last few days.
(...and I still can’t believe the following figures are reality…)
Stand as of 3 May 2024:
Paypal:
- € 30536,62 (this is the sum including converted US$)
Bank accounts:
- € 23482,52
- US$ 1906,52 = € 1769,22
- PLN 5618 = €1297,30
- UAH 85089 = €2012,29
Total: € 59097,95
Thanks to Your readiness to support this initiative, to help the 3rd SSO, we’ve overshoot the aim (€44,000-51,000) by a margin.
Thank you so much for your trust!
Presently (and except for feeling deeply humbled by your kindness), I’m waiting to receive a confirmation of 3rd SSO’s order, and then the terms of delivery, report on acceptance etc. Of course, I’ll keep you updated. The emphasis in this project was, is, and is going to remain: maximum transparency.

If you don’t mind, I dare encouraging you to support few additional initiatives mentioned a few days ago.
***
1.) 3rd Assault Brigade. Although their designations are similar, the 3rd Assault Brigade is a different unit than the 3rd SSO: it’s a ‘line’ unit of the ZSU. A unit fighting in ‘conventional’ style, on the frontlines. We’ve seen it in intensive actions in Klishchivka the last year, and then in the Avdiivka area, the last three months.
Right now, they’re in need of FPV drones (FPV - ‘first person view’). One costs €/US$ 400: ideally, they would like to get 100 FPVs. So, the aimed sum is at €/US$ 40,000.
Details for where one can send the money:
PayPal:
or:
https://send.monobank.ua/jar/8xjVKRR6Me
Purpose: For 3rd Brigade FPVs.
(AFAIK, as of yesterday evening, you’ve already donated US$ 1785, and in total, donations are meanwhile sufficient for 18 out of 100 FPVs in question. Thanks a lot!)

2.) 72nd Mechanised Brigade. The 72nd Mech is the unit that has held off a month-long assault of Russian mechanised formations on Kyiv, in the Moshchun area, in March 2022, and then smashed that Russian winter offensive on Vuhledar, and destroyed two Russian brigades in the process, back in January-February 2023.*
They’re still holding the town of Vuhledar under control, despite re-newed Russian assaults: indeed, they’ve been holding out despite glide-bombing attacks going on for weeks already.
Meanwhile, I am in direct contact and can confirm that a few days ago the 72nd Mech has received a hit that destroyed nearly all of its medical supplies.
Therefore, the UA medical AID - a group of volunteers and soldiers from the 72nd Mech is requesting help with medical supplies. Help them buy tourniquets, IFAKs, and other stuff necessary to take care about the injured. To make sure you can find that link:

The people in question are humble, well-meant, and desperate to do their job: taking care about casualties. They do not demand impossible things, but little more than help them re-stock their medical supplies.
(In this case, I would like to request the reader ‘Top’ to keep me updated on related developments, so I can keep all of you updated, too.)

This initiative is collecting signatures for a public demand for a swift and decisive action of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany in regards of helping Ukraine (and the well-meant Russians, too).

As for why I am encouraging your support for these initiatives: as can be seen, we’ve even ‘got a choice’. We can support ‘lethal’ initiatives, ‘non-lethal/medical care’ initiatives, and perfectly peaceful, indeed democratic initiatives. And we’re ‘not just doing something’: we’re doing things that matter and are making difference.
I’m confident that your aid is going to reach the people who need it, quickly, on time, and these initiatives - and your help - are going to matter.
Finally… well, kill me but I’m that Sarcastosaurus: by now it is obvious that we _can_. We can help, and we can make difference. Indeed, I would say: together, we’re far more effective than the mass of our governments.
I’ve sent £50 for the medical aid
You are awesome as well, Tom. Thank you so much. I have sent 50 euros for the medical aid.
