Hello everybody!
Time for an update on our collection for the ZSU - and then for a ‘special request’.
Over the last ‘week or so’, Anastasiia remained busy - as requests for help were coming, one after the other. Arguably, the nature of requested items changed a bit: instead of ‘simpler things’, nowadays, units need different stuff. Here a quick review of ‘biggest news’.

14th Chervona Kalyna Brigade (National Guard)
As promised, here a photo from gents from the 14th NG Brigade (see Update 22), with their greetings, the brigade’s flag, and tyres kindly sponsored by you.

The unit has meanwhile received a total of 11 first aid kits - and now it’s got its ‘30-tons press’, necessary for repairs of heavy equipment. Gents are extremely happy and sending their thanks and greetings! (Think, very few people can imagine how much are this kind of ‘presents’ making people happy!)

This is a unit from the Yavoriv area that played a big role in the fighting in the Robotyne area, the last two years. They’ve requested a new field generator. Of course, Anastasiia promptly acquired and shipped it to the unit only today. The generator is as visible on the illustration below (which is including its ‘unit price’, too). Photos of it on arrival with the unit are to follow, of course.

A famous unit… almost so much, I need not saying more. The 9th Company has requested and received its brand-new generator (the same model as on the illustration above), and troops are sending their greetings:

…in between, several other units have received additional medical equipment (foremost our, meanwhile ‘famous’ first-aid kits). If anybody wants to see all the related invoices: let me know, and I’ll post them, one after the other. Be sure, Anastasiia is saving all the ‘papers’.
Right now, though - and please excuse me for ‘changing topic’ - I would like to venture into the above-mentioned, ‘special request’: we’ve received a request for help from a gentleman serving with the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade, who is working up a new element (a new ‘sub-unit’).
Hand-on-heart: working up a new unit is ‘nothing but trouble’. It’s comparable with constructing a new home and means, ‘they need everything’. Mind: out there on the battlefield, there are no supermarkets, no shopping malls, no car retailers, no gas stations, nor any newspaper kiosks. Either the troops have everything they need with them, or they’re in trouble.
Unsurprisingly, the complete ‘shopping list’ is some €9,000 ‘long’ - and that’s ‘just the expendables’. They’re going to need a SUV too. One has to be realistic: expect the total to go up to at least some €15,000, more likely 20,000.
…and, one must be sure: alone getting and shipping all the items necessary is going to take not just a few days, but rather ‘a few weeks’. And while we’re doing that, we’ll be busy continuing to support other units, too.
While…sigh… for reasons I cannot currently talk about: the 128th needs our help urgently. ‘Right away’.
I know, we’ve helped the 128th already. Wouldn’t be surprised if anybody asks, ‘and when is it enough?’ Oversimplified, enough will be when this war is over. Others might ask, if their money is going to be spent in effective fashion: can only ascertain, the gent in charge of this ‘action’ is a seasoned veteran, somebody who has survived a lot. He knows what is he doing. Thus, cannot but support him.
Fact is, the 128th needs our help, and is extremely grateful for whatever we can do. Therefore, think of me what you like, but: help the 128th work up its new element. Please, donate, 5, 10, 20 Dollar/Euro/Pound… nobody demands more. Don’t be ashamed if it’s ‘less’: it is not! And nobody is going to complain. On the contrary! Be sure: Ukrainian soldiers know to appreciate every single cent, and know how to put them to good use.
(…and, after you’ve done that, feel free to damn me as much as you like…)
What matters is that we all help. To help equip and work-up a well-equipped unit - and that as soon as possible.
Of course I’m going to report about results as often- and as detailed as possible.
