If their worst case scenario says 48 USD then they have another one unpublished which is worse. Be that as it may, they are obviously concerned. But they cannot really do much. On the other hand the energy market is complex and volatile so it can go up again for some reason.

Yes, they don't say everything they think, but even admitting this much is significant.

Energy prices can go up but the trade wars are lowering demand for oil and the Saudi's continue to increase production. However long they last, both trends will lower oil prices.

If, somehow, the US passes the sanctions that will impact anyone that buys Russian oil, (not just buying oil above the $60 price cap), that will have more of an impact than the oil prices.

Regarding the mutual airstrikes. Russia is obviously hitting targets, it’s easier to do when you simply target civilians. However that seems both morally and strategically totally wrong. We don’t need to discuss morality, but strategically hitting the enemies defense systems must be more valuable than hitting civilians. But of course Ukraine needs to protect both its citizens and its soldiers. Which currently is impossible. Still I think Ukraine is smarter here.

I cannot but remind that for the Russians (exactly like for the Israelis) there is nothing like 'limited war': they always fight a 'total war'.

Sure, the Russians are not deploying nukes against Ukraine - but all other means are 'acceptable' (exactly like for the Israelis). Mass-murder, hijackings of thousands and their 're-education', mass-rape, detention, torture, starvation, looting, wholesale destruction of the infra-structure (indeed: the entire county)... you name it. That's not about 'morality': both in the case of Russia and Israel, it's the same; it's about their indoctrination, the way they think about themselves and their enemies, the way they think about war, and the way they fight wars.

Therefore, expecting some sort of 'Western standards' (where even these are questionable, considering not only the actions of our own governments and armed forces, but the fact that our own governments are wholeheartedly supporting Israel's genocide on the Palestinians at the same time they're complaining about the Russian genocide on Ukrainians) - is entirely pointless.

Have 'warned' about this, several times over the last two years... meanwhile, even others are catching: https://substack.com/home/post/p-162415835 - but, there is no change in behaviour (at least not by our governments).

Thus, don't tell me you're surprised about the Russians not changing their behaviour...

Trump was on the horn yesterday with Erdogan and no doubt got an earful about what the Israelis are doing in Syria, Gaza, Iran, etc. This won't change Trump's thinking, but I feel a confrontation coming on between those two, unless Erdo blinks first.

I am not surprised. They will continue that way. My reflection was more that their strategy isn’t smart even ignoring morals. But I don’t expect them to change.

"Still I think Ukraine is smarter here."

Nope, Ukraine simply has a support of Western media.

It useless to pursuade here that Russia never hit deliberately civilian targets, though collateral damage often take place.

On the contrary, if you take a look at news at RU TG channels you will see on everyday's basis videos/photos of civilians killed/injured by UA attacks.

A recent example, UA forces hit market at Aleshki (Russian-held part of Kherson region) on 1st of May at holiday time. 7 civilians were killed, 20+ injured. Furthermore, the initial strike was "complemented" by UA fpvs hitting the survivors

But who will report this? Tom? Don?

As a "classical" confirmation of UA atrocities towards former compatriots I was mentioning many times the Alley of Angels in Donetsk with names of dozens of kids killed by indiscriminate UA artillery and MLRS fire. Let me bet, you never heard about it.

We are all favoring Ukraine and nobody here is really unbiased. And you know why? Because every sane person must favor Ukraine in this war. Only Russians, who are completely indoctrinated by your regime propaganda, don’t understand why.

Ok, you will be amazed to learn that millions of Russians (including myself) consider starting of the war as a horrible mistake (mildly saying). However, since the war is on I will never understand stupidy of Ukranians fightng to the end. What the are fighting for? Opportunity to work at dirty works in Poland? A chance for young pretty women to get employed in best brothels of Vienna and Frankfurt? An opportunity to hold LGBT parades? Of course, one can bla-bla about freedom, and etc. However, current affairs (deliberate import of thousand islamists to Western Europe, Deep State's destruction of EU economies ) give perfect impression of what awaits Ukraine further on. Ukanians were part of huge Russian ecosystem for 300 years, attaining everything they have due to this. They suffered a lot but not for being Ukranians but due to the ruthless regimes that ruled in Russia. More of that, Ukranians were somewhat more privilged in late USSR than Russians themselves.

I am (as a quarter Ukranian myself) is shocked to see that sly Ashkenasi in Kiev (that TOTALLY control Ukraine) managed to raise a generation of zombies (including ethnic Russians that live in UA) that are ready to die for hymeras.

Bottom line: the war is unjust case, however, self-destruction of Ukraine is undepictable.

You are crap, not a Ukrainian, and not a quarter, but 100%! You, like most Russians, are obsessed with the Avenue of Angels, but you yourself, most likely, without a hint from Wikipedia, cannot say exactly where it is and how many names are mentioned on it, because for people like you, it is just a fetish for pseudo-patriotic masturbation.

I answer you as a Russian-speaking Ukrainian from Donbass: - I am not fighting for the nonsense that you have spewed here, but so that freaks like you will never again tell us how to live, what to do and what to believe.
