" Ukraine lost 231 pieces of equipment, including 192 armored fighting vehicles. Russia lost 155 pieces of equipment" wow not good! Hope this is an exception...ouch.. how many fierce Ukrainian warriors lost thier lives...the world needs to pay attention to the ongoing atrocities by the vicious orcs..

According to the detailed list, a huge chunk of these losses are lightly armored mobility vehicles. These stand little chance against any kind of heavy weaponry.

Russian equipment and armour is getting rarer, hence all the golfs carts, bikes and loaf-vans featuring in videos, while Ukraine has deployed some of her well equipped armoured brigades.

There will have been a lot of Ukrainian lives lost - but in Kursk these are mostly western armoured vehicles, designed with crew surviveability as a requirement.

A russian BMP has the exit through fuel tanks (in the doors).

The fuel tanks in the doors are secondary to the main fuel tanks and are (usually) empty when the vehicle is going into battle, but empty tanks with fumes is not my ideal form of protection.

Certainly a fair amount of Ukrainians were killed and wounded in those vehicles but a lot of crew on both sides survive when a vehicle is incapacitated and then the empty vehicle is destroyed. Crew survivability in western designed vehicles is pretty high, although there was one case I know of when two Ukrainian MRAPs were disabled, the crew survived and were then killed outside the vehicle.

I am not advocating for a violation of the Geneva Convention on POWs, but I am wondering if or when Ukraining soldiers reciprocate and start executing Russians soldiers taken as POW. American infantrymen during WWII, in retaliation for atrocities such as at Malmedy, would execute SS soldiers taken as POWs. Other similar executions too, not just due to Malmedy. American soldiers had been indoctrinated regarding the Geneva Convention already by military authorities. I suppose it's just the cynic . . . ah . . . er . . . ahem! . . . realist coming out of me.

I have seen some Ukrainian soldiers say that while they are angry, they want to exchange Russian POWs for Ukrainian POWs.

Bingo. Living POWs = Ukrainian lives saved. Executed POWs = fewer captive Ukrainians who come home.

Do. Not. Mistreat. Prisoners.
