Yes, I have no doubt: Putin is trading troops for time, aiming to stop Ukrainians on the 'border' to Luhansk at any price, pending arrival of - supposedly - 'better trained', '2nd wave' of Russian reservists, in about two weeks.

For Ukrainians, it's cruical to prevent the Russian reinforcements from entrenching and fortifying any of villages between Lyman and Svatove - and thus to continue moving.

Considering available forces (which have already been reinforced, the last few days), the ZSU is doing the best of the situation and right now I do not see them being able of doing more - at least not any faster.
