I might know enough to analyse ongoing wars, and write about past wars: but - precisely because of that - I find any kind of armed conflict entirely pointless, futile waste of precious life, time, and all other resources (including the environment).

Therefore, don't expect from me to cheer when civilians in Donetsk get killed by Ukrainian artillery.
