Gauging by reports in the Ukrainian social media, actual average figure is about 20-25 KIA a day. Haven't seen a single day with more than 50 losses for weeks already (the peak was when the Russians broke through at Popasna and Ukrainians had to counterattack in order to stop the VDV from reaching the T1302, early this month).
Therefore, cannot but characterise all the reports about '100... 200... 500.... 1000 KIA a day' - as 'loads of moronic nonsense'.
A good part of that is definitely caused by sensationalism. At least as much on 'journalists' simply copy-pasting reports by others instead of cross-checking (incompetence and lazyness remain massive in this 'branch'*). In other cases, it might be so that some of editors (and especially: owners) are trying to fabricate a crisis in order to (re-)intensify the flow of supplies and support to Ukraine.
