They have no reason to do so. Actually, they have all the reasons to let the Russians know how much they know, that whatever Putin, Shoygu, Gerasimov etc. decide, is known — usually: well in advance — all the way to the Pentagon.

If at all, the ‘problem’ is rather that Putin, Shoygu, Gerasimov etc. are stubbornly resisting to learn that lesson — and thus squandering ever more troops and equipment, ‘instead’. However, that’s ‘good’ that way, if for no other reason then because with every additional casualty there’s ever more opposition to Putin inside Russia.

It might take time, but at some point in time that number is going to reach the ‘critical mass’.
