The problem with 'sending more' is called 'supplies & training'. One can't pump Ukraine full of weapons, for which it neither has spares nor ammo, not to talk about trained personnel. One can do even less of that if the supply links - railways - are under persistent Russian barrage, and repeatedly damaged.
Re. 9 May: something is going to happen. For Putin, the WWII never ended: his extermination war in Ukraine is supposed to end it. Moreover, he's got no political program: only his TV-appearances. Thus, he's not going to miss the opportunity for a PRBS-coup of one sort or the other.
