That’s correct, i.e. I did a mistake here.
Was it really? It was tracked by a Russian drone until it was a few kilometres from government-held territory …
It didn’t enter Syria from Turkey. It originated in Syria in government-held West Aleppo where the aid was loaded under government supervision before being allowed to drive into rebel-held territory towards Urem al Kubra, its destination.

Yes it was. My Syrian sources say Russians tracked it until the sunset, then withdrew. Duration of the video released by Moscow is entirely irrelevant in this regards.
I think you are confusing the Syrian Arab Red Crescent which operates throughout Syria with Syrian Civil Defence…
No, I am not confusing anybody there. To me it seems you have the same problem like most of people who don’t understand the Assadist mindset.
Assadist regime teaches hatred of ‘Sunni rats’ to Alawites, yet defines itself by the control over Syrian population, although the wast majority of this is Sunni. Namely, if the regime does not control the population, it has no legitimacy.
Therefore, their standpoint is that ‘rats’ in any of besieged areas must be destroyed (which is what they prefer to do) or forced to subject themselves to Assadist rule. They know no alternative to this idea (nor can imagine any).
Resulting military officers are no ‘officers and gentlemen’, some kind of ‘noble warriors’, at least trying to distinguish ‘aid organizations cooperating with everybody’ from ‘somebody else’ etc. They are characters indoctrinated with the idea that ‘only Assad is right, and therefore you’re either on our side — or we kill you, period’, or characters that found no alternative but to act as if they behave that way and are doing the same those convinced of such ideas are doing (i.e. ‘burning rats’ at every opportunity).
Correspondingly, anybody providing aid to any of besieged area is ‘wrong’, and ‘must be killed for collaborating with rats’.
BTW, they do not use expressions like ‘legitimate target’: they bomb, period.
Here one example of how far and how pedantic they are in this regards. Whenever somebody defected — no matter if officer or other rank (and keep in mind that back in 2011-2012 dozens of thousands defected)— they (the notorious Air Force Intelligence) first sought to find and arrest the family. In every single case it was so that if they (Assadists) were able to get the family, they were torturing even children in order to force the officer in question to surrender himself (should you have any kind of doubts over Assadist readiness to torture kids, please inform yourself about the case of Hamza Ali al-Khateeb and keep in mind that this was what really sparked not only the ‘revolution/uprising’ in Syria, but also caused dozens of thousands of members of the Syrian military to defect). If outside reach, they would bomb the home of the officer in question. In this regards, they didn’t make any stop even of those who earned themselves the prestigious ‘Hero of the Syrian Arab Republic’ Medal (equal to the Medal of Honour in the USA, the Victoria Cross in the UK, or Hero of the Soviet Union in the former USSR).
Therefore, sorry but: thinking Assadists would differentiate between the SARC and such groups like White Helmets (accused by the regime of being ‘Nusrats’, anyway) is an illusion.
