My experience is that people like Lorenzo have one important characteristics (the will), and need two things: opportunities/chances, and patience. The rest comes with experience. That's why I'm not giving up on him: as long as he's curious enough to have the will, there is a way to help him - and I can learn from helping him, too.

Very glad to hear you've got the MGP and find it as interesting and useful: have a (very) 'soft spot' for Syrians, and thus I'm glad for everybody who has read that book and found it informative.
