And re. my 'identification skills' of (modern) Russian armoured vehicles: they're minimal. I'm meanwhile happy of having learned to distinguish a T-54 from T-55, so no surprise I can't distinguish a 2S5 from 2S7, or BM-27 from BM-30...

Anyway, the reason why is RFA bringing in ever more of heavy artillery is that it has run its stocks of 122mm ammo to the level where there are entire artillery brigades sitting on their hads for weeks already, because there's no ammo.
