UPDATE from 8 May 2022: eventually, the entire story about ‘destruction of Admiral Makarov’ was busted as a hoax launched by Ukrainian journalists.
(Hope, some might now understand why am I keeping my distance from any kind of ‘journalists’, turning down requests for interviews, and refusing to be described as a ‘journalist’ and ‘expert’.)

Since the last night (at least, if not since earlier), there is a growing number of reports that another warship of the Russian Navy — this time the Project 11356P/Burevestnik/Admiral Grigorovich-class guided missile frigate Admiral Makarov — was hit by Ukrainian Neptune anti-ship missiles.
Indeed, word is that Admiral Makarov was hit while underway south of the Zmiyniy Island, that rescue operations are ongoing and multiple Russian aircraft and rescue vessels are in the area.
Some are going as far as to already report the frigate was sunk.
….if true, there are going to be additional Russian sailors that ‘went absent from duty while on the high sea’….*

Though, please mind: unless there are clear photos/videos shown a vessel of this class afire, all reports of this kind must be considered for ‘claims, nothing confirmed’.
Anyway….of interest in this regards is the fact that over the last 3–4 days, the NATO dramatically increased the number of its reconnaissance operations over the western, central and southern Black Sea. This screen-grab, just for example, is shown a mission flown by a Northrop Grumman RQ-4 Global Hawk UAV:
….and, it’s obvious that since the demise of Moskva, ‘interested onlookers’ are daring going places they didn’t go for the last two months.

*EDIT: the latter statement is based on the official explanation of the Keystone Cops in Moscow, issued in reply to a father whose son served aboard the missile cruiser Moskva.
They literally wrote to him:
…”the ship never entered territorial waters of Ukraine and was not involved in special operations and your son was unwittingly missing in the military unit following an emergency that caused the loss of the ship”….
