My problem with the USA is that I simply can't find any trace of any kind of 'class struggle'.
Yes, the essence of the 'struggle' is dominance of elite/oligarchy, and its suppression of pluralism/democracy. However, the 'elite/oligarchy' is highly effective/successful in representing itself as the 'representatives of the people' and 'working for the people' - and that in both (major) political camps.....which is why, just for example, the 'pitchfork people' are convinced the 'torch people' are going to take away their pitchforks... and the torch people that the pitchfork people are going to take away their torches... while, actually, the convictions of both are only serving the purpose gamblers on the Wall Street, tax-avoiders, and avoidance of accoutability in the name of extracting higher profits...
That's no 'communism vs capitalism' and no 'class strugle', but 'return to the way the Roman Empire was ruled'.
