Rickshaws for the ZSU: Update 32
Hello everybody!
Before I take a few days off, here a - much overdue - update in regards of this collection.
Up front: thank you all so much for continuing to donate all the time. Your continous donations have enabled Anastasiia and Olga to pay €6,600 for the mini-van for Medical Company of the 82nd Airborne Brigade, and bring it to Kasierslautern. Sadly, the car is still in Germany: together with a car Olga (who has meanwhile acquired more than 100 different ‘cars’ for the ZSU) has acquired separately, for the 5th Assault Brigade, it’s waiting for its transfer plates. Latest update in this regards is: nowadays, ‘that process can take up to two months’.
Thus, sorry but: it’s unlikely to reach the unit before sometimes in the second half of January, or even in February…

It’s nothing short of amazing what kind of requests we’ve received over the last 6-7 weeks, and how much have your donations enabled. Here ‘just something like a brief overview of most important items’ acquired and shipped through November and the first half of December this year.
***
5th Assault Brigade
Back in mid-November, the unit has requested and received a tablet with the Kropyva ATMS. As can be seen from the invoice below, Anastasiia actually bought two such tablets at the same time, because the same was requested by the air defence unit in the Sumy Oblast, with which we’re working since some time.
***
17th Tank Brigade
The unit requested help with acquiring a drone detector. Price: UAH 25,700,—. This took some time to acquire and receive, so has been sent only relatively recently:
The 17th reacted by sending their thanks!
***
57th Motorised Infantry Brigade
Troops from this brigade are sending their thanks for our help! (Sure, their corresponding plaque is addressing Anastasiia, but, hand on heart: how to write down all of your names…?):
***
71st Jäger Brigade
The unit has requested help with a charging station and tablet with Kropyva: Anastasiia shipped them the former almost instantly, and they’ve had it around 18-19 November:
Meanwhile, they should have received their tablet, too.
***
72nd Mechanised Brigade
Must admit, I’m always happy to hear from this unit: the gents in question went through so much (already since the Battle of Moshchun, back in March 2022, not to talk about Vuhledar of 2023-2024), and thus when Anastasiia reported they’re after a mini-UAV, and that it’s urgent, we’ve promptly agreed that yes, we must help them once again. ‘Regardless the cost’, and ‘although’ such stuff is meanwhile hard to get (at least for civilians). Back in early December, the Mavic 3T (price was slightly over UAH 200,000) was forwarded to the Brigade: hope, there’s soon going to be a suitable photo/video report.
***
151st Mechanised Brigade
You might recall that ‘Rickshaws for the ZSU’ began with a request to help us obtain 2-3 cars for the 151st Mechanised Brigade, some 14-15 months ago. The Nisan Navara was in need of new rear-wheel tyres (we’ve replaced the front ones the last winter), while the KIA Sportage required some more serious repairs (including on its engine).
By side that it’s nice to see both cars are still operational: both acquisitions are currently ‘under (re)construction’.
***
101st Anti-Aircraft Missile Battalion
The unit requested several different items (see Update 31) and has meanwhile received all of these - including binoculars visible here:
(Sorry if I’m not going into more details about this: that acquisition was a ‘tad sensitive’.)
***
Air Defence Unit from a City regularly (and intentionally) targeted by the Russians
As mentioned in the Update 31, we’ve been requested to help with a thermal imaging sight and binoculars. This wasn’t easy, and it cost another UAH 200,000 - but: it became possible thanks to your donations!

…and, as so often lately, now I’m running out of space…
Kindly mind: the stuff mentioned above are ‘just major shipments’: additionally, Anastasiia has packed and shipped numerous of her ‘standard packages’ continuing support gear, medical equipment and similar. What you’re enabling is helping a lot, and the more you help, the more she can help.
Let me end with this: unless there is something ultra-urgent, this is going to be the last update - for the Year 2025. It’s been a hard, sometimes frustrating, but in grand total - and for this collection effort - a very good year. I cannot but thank everybody for your kind donations, and encourage you to continue donating.
