Hello everybody!
Another update on our collection for one of mortar batteries of the 151st Mechanised Brigade, ZSU.
You were all so kind to continue donating following the Update 5. As of Monday this week, there was a total of
US$7,462,90 on the PayPal account, and
UAH 82,202,40 on the bank account.
The gents from the 151st requested filters and replacement oil, a spare key, a pump and a jack for the Navara bought by your donations for them. Anastasiia was so kind to acquire and ship all of this to them. That cost UAH 7,600.
Furthermore, Anastasiia has acquired the second car for the 151st: a KIA Sportage 2006. Price: €4,100 (incl. the down payment of €1,000, due prior to shipment). Meanwhile, this car was partially overhauled and re-painted, and shipped to the frontline. This photo was made once it was ready:
Special thanks, everybody - and that for every single donation. Thank you for every single cent!
Sorry if I’m not going into more details in regards of the following, but circumstances are the way they are: once the Sportage is ‘close’ enough to the frontline, it’s going to be checked again, and then picked up by the 151st.
Why that?
Well… free along the motto, ‘better be safe than sorry’: after all, we don’t want anybody to get killed because we’re revealing too much about the car’s voyage to the frontline, or if it breaks down in the middle of another supply run.
Of course, I’ll keep you posted in this regards, just like until now.
Talking about updates… what little I’ve got to hear so far, our Navara is so heavily used, it made another 1,500km this week and is shared between the Mortar Battery we’re supporting, and another sub-unit of the 151st (quite the same is valid for the L200 repaired with help of your donations, and then the generator and re-charger purchased from your donations).
Gents are delighted and thankful: they say they don’t know how could they manage without it.
Conclusion is on hand: they can certainly need another SUV - and then one in the class of Navara or L200 (i.e. with a big, open cargo hold behind the cab). And if it’s not going to be another SUV, then it’s going to be something else: we’re going to know in a few days.
That’s why I would recommend us to continue collecting.
We still have around US$3,000 on the PayPal account. Gauging by experiences from the acquisition of the first Navara, and constantly growing prices (because there is a growing shortage of such cars in the EU)… then add shipment and repairs, plus any possible other equipment they might request in the meantime… well, it’s a guess, but I’m sure we can need around 8,500-9,500 in total.
Thus, cannot but repeat my request: please, be so kind, continue donating for the 151st. I know I’m requesting a lot, and ‘into the blue’, but it’s really so: every single cent counts, and every since cent helps. And it helps a lot! Should there be any doubts: the 151st is still holding out in Hrodivka (east of Pokrovsk), for more than a week now. And that at least to a ‘nice part’ thanks to the fact that - thanks to your help, your money, your donations - two of its sub-units meanwhile have two (and soon: three) SUVs to haul ammo, supplies, and personnel around the battlefield, regardless the terrain and circumstances.
If only 30-40% of those who are going to read this donate 1 Dollar or Euro, we’re going to have enough for another ‘Rickshaw’ for the 151st.

Ah-hahaha! Had an idea while logging onto PayPal:
Create a not-for-profit registered in the US/EU, call it something like "Transportation Policy Options for Ukraine". I don't know about EU rules, but I believe that that makes the donations tax deductible in the US.
Downside is I think it can be construed as wire fraud...
Happy that I am able to send a little more today.
