BTW, re. 'Kingdom of Heaven'....just few examples related to geography:
- For Middle Eastern cirucmstances, Idlib is a lush-green area, strongly reminding of central Europe in spring and well into summers. Until most recent times, it was never short on water, and never required any Crusaders to teach the locals how to get water, or to dig wells.
- Crack de Chevalliers is no 'Neuschwanstein' but a typical medieval castle (see: relatively low, but extremely thick walls), as constructed by Crusaders in dozens.
- Jerusalem is not surrounded by 'flat desert', but by hills of the West Bank, most of which are (or at least: were) covered by dense vegetation as of the 12-13th Century....
....and that's 'just for the start'...
