Means: either the politicians wear overalls clearly 'listing' interests they represent (like F1 drivers, for example), or there is a legislation according to which any kind of sponsoring of politicians - but especially by the 'economy' - is strictly prohibited.
That way one avoids such 'unplasant situation' like when 'our' politicians do not know should they support Ukraine, or do their utmost to save relations to a corrupt dictator and mass-murderer - because one or the other, but not both is 'good for economy'.
