Therefore, yes: I do not really understand the Ukrainian insistence on 'frontal' assault on Kherson (see: one from the West). It's not only 'much too obvious' (so much so, the Russians have heavily fortified all approaches to Kherson), but the idea with driving deep east of Dnipro appears as a much more promising one to me.
