I simply couldn't understand how can reasonably intelligent people fall for such nonsense.

Now, some are considering my reply for 'condescending'. Perhaps it is, but: sorry, there are things that are 'plain clear' to me, so much so I can't explain them any better - nor understand why so many people do not understand them.
