….and now to continue with Don’s usual summary for the last week.

Since the US gave Ukraine permission to attack Russian ground forces inside Russia with US-made weaponry, I expect to see more videos published next week showing the effect of this political decision.
After expending their forces on Ukrainian defenses north of the river in Vovchansk, Russia tried to cross the river to the west. The briefly established a foothold but Ukraine forced them back across the river. Ukraine then began attacking Russian positions along the river while Russia destroyed all the bridges and replacement pontoon bridges they could find and started digging defensive positions.

Western Luhansk
Russia didn’t gain any territory but small-scale fighting added to attritional losses along the sector.
***
Bilohorivka
Severe bombardments continued, as did limited Russian attacks, but no territory changed hands.

Bakhmut
A ‘lonesome’ Russian assault made it to the canal in the north before being eliminated. Russian troops moving towards the canal district suffer a lot of casualties, but those that survive continue to press into the town. It’s likely that Russia controls the eastern and southern fringes of the canal district and they are asserting more control of the woods south of the district.

(….to be continued…)
Looks like ammo is finally arriving to the frontlines.
Still can't shake the thought of why there was a delay in first place, why the stupid restrictions, why no ATACMS in 2022, but since I can only silently rage inside and can't influence the events, I'm just happy the situation is not so bad anymore, if still very tense.
