(…continued from Part 1…)
To make sure, it’s not like current battles in the War in Ukraine are limited to northern Kharkiv alone. Indeed, both Pudding-fans and Bothsidesists in this conflict are not only happy, but indeed proud to stress something like: ‘Russia is advancing all along the entire frontline’.
…now, I’m experiencing fits of coughing when reading such ‘serious military assessments’ by people excelling in beautiful, dramatic video-appearances for their social-media appearances - but: don’t worry, that’s just me. They know better…
Here’s what Don has collected over the last seven days.

Luhansk
Russia is still pushing hard in the Kyslivka area but made no further gains. Russia lost ten vehicles in the Novoselivske area, and an assault near Terny was eliminated with the Russian vehicles.

Bilohorikva
There were two Russian attacks near Bilohorivka and Verkhernokamianske but these gained no territory and lost at least 11 vehicles.

Bakhmut
Bombardments, airstrikes and drones still take a toll on both sides but the situation is stable for Ukraine. Considering Ukraine pulled a brigade out of the line and broke it up (see: the 67th Mech), that’s pretty remarkable. Ukraine reported that a large number of vehicles were moved to Bakmut so they might be used in assaults next week.
Both sides are able to use a large amount of drones despite the EW assets in the area. A video report quoted a front line soldier that said it was easier to move during the day than at night because of the thermal drones. At night, the cooler temperatures make it easier to see a warm body. The report also quoted someone from the medical profession that said 90% of the casualties in the Chasiv Yar sector are a result of drones. That is a remarkable statement to make considering the amount of airstrikes, thermobaric rockets, MRL and regular shelling the area undergoes.
A drone needs two frequencies to fly. One frequency provides the video, the other frequency transmits the operator commands to the drone. If one of them is jammed then the drone fails. Here is a video of Russians receiving the video feed of Ukrainian drones and jamming either the video or command frequencies…

Avdiivka
After securing the area north of Ocheretyne, Russia focused on pushing west from Soloviove and Berdychi. The 47th Brigade stopped them with counter attacks at a cost of four M-1's and two Bradley’s damaged or destroyed.
Further south, Russia made it into Umanske north of the small river before being pushed out. They did gain some territory across the open fields south of Umanske but lost a lot of vehicles in the process. They also pushed into the eastern half of Netailove.
An additional 19 Russian vehicles were discovered to be destroyed in previous weeks with the release of new satellite imagery. This week, Russia lost 32 vehicles in the area damaged or destroyed compared to 10 Ukrainian armored vehicles damaged or destroyed.
Russia’s push south of Pervomaiske did lead to the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces northeast of Nevelske. This is also where a Russian ground drone destroyed a Ukrainian machine gun position…

Thank you so much.
‘Russia is advancing all along the entire frontline’.
400sq km over a 1200 km front in eight months, with over 200000 losses.
Sure, sure, a victorious advantage...
