AFAIK, Ukrainians never even attempted pushing along Oskil towards north to the border (that is: north of Dvorichne). It's pointless because the Russians can operate their artillery 'safely from within Russia'.

Obviously, this is 'not good' for the ZSU, for the Russian artillery _inside_ Ukraine is active and disrupting the flow of supplies and reinforcements in the Kupyansk area. With other words: it would have been better had the ZSU had the capability to drive the Russians outside the artillery range to Kupyansk.

That said, I haven't heard about the Russians recovering any ground there.
